Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Friends’ School.

For entry into Year 8, please refer to our Admissions Criteria, which are published in January each year. To find out more about what we offer and to gain an insight into everyday life at Friends’, please have a look at our latest prospectus.

Please find below documentation for parents who wish to submit an application. Friends’ uses the Entrance Assessment run by the Schools’ Entrance Assessment Group (SEAG) for primary school pupils. SEAG Website.

We will be holding a familiarisation afternoon on Friday 18 October from 2pm – 3pm. Further information regarding SEAG assessments has been emailed to parents.

Please read through our Friends’ School Guidance:

SEAG Guidance for Parents 2024

SEAG has produced the following documents, which should also be helpful:

SEAG Expectations of Parents and Pupils 2024

FAQs for Parents whose Children will sit the SEAG Entrance Assessment 2024

Please note that pupils who were able to sit only one test and received an estimated score must apply through Special Provisions. Special Provisions Form and Guidance

Unfortunately, we do not currently have spaces available in Years 9-11 and so are not able to operate a waiting list. This is because we have been granted a temporary variation in numbers by the Department which brings us above our approved enrolment number. If this changes, further information will be posted here.

We do not normally admit pupils into Year 12 as pupils have already completed half of their GCSE courses in Year 11.

In August every year Friends’ admits pupils from a wide variety of schools both locally and internationally. We run a Sixth Form Open Day in March and applications are welcomed at any point using the documentation below.
