Maths Club

Maths Club is mainly attended by pupils from Years 8 - 10 but senior pupils also meet.  The Club is staffed by members of the Maths Department.  Students enjoy doing puzzles and come to the Maths Club to do similar tasks.  Students also train during the Maths Club for the UK Junior, Intermediate and Senior Mathematics Challenges and the Junior and Senior Team Maths Challenges.  In 2015 - 2016 both the Junior and Senior Maths Teams won their Northern Ireland regional final and went on to represent the school at the national final in London.  Also at Maths Club students play the Maths 24 Game and other maths based puzzles. In the past students have also prepared for the Mathematiques Sans Frontiere Competition in which one of the questions is in a foreign language.  Such competitions provide and excellent opportunity for students to work together as a group.
