Success for Friends’ School Young Enterprise Company Generation at South Eastern Area Trade Fair

A team of ten budding entrepreneurs from Friends’ School have recently started up their own business- Generation- having produced a family activity book- ‘My Family and I.’ The company is run through Young Enterprise- a leading UK charity which empowers young people to harness their personal and business skills.

The Generation team have been off to a great start, having won two awards at their first trade fair in Bloomfield Shopping Centre for ‘Highest Sales’ and best ‘Social Media’.
The pupils have designed their book from start to finish, creating a children’s activity journal which allows a child to interview and complete activities with their parent and grandparent- enabling them to learn more about their family and the past in a fun and interactive way.
With the help of business advisor, Roger Kennedy and supervising teacher, Ashea Bell, the team are set for success in learning what it takes to run a business outside of the classroom.
